The Alps: Eight countries, a single territory

This book counting 157 pages was recently published in the four Alpine languages and in English by the Permanent Secretary of the Alpine Convention.

It aims to be a key to access the Alpine Convention, not only seen as an international law treaty, but as a "set of tools" to pursue in a coordinate manner, a long-lasting balance between economic and social development and the need to preserve both the environment and our cultural heritage.

It permits to work beyond national borders, not only to policy and decision makers, but also to the population, which is closely linked to the territory, even more in the Alps than in other regions. It is a territory that has to be managed with care…
