The Alpine protected areas: advanced search function

An advanced search tool is currently being developed for use with the database of Alpine protected areas.

The tool will allow users to make a range of online queries about the protected areas, using criteria such as protection status , IUCN classification , surface area, the date on which the park was created, and iconic species.

For example, you could search for all protected areas in the French Alps that cover more than 500 ha, for Alpine protected areas created after 1990, or find out which protected areas are classified as IUCN category II and are home to ibex.
