For the Swiss National Park, the Alpine Network of Protected Areas (ALPARC) is a very important partner at the international level. ALPARC eases the exchange between protected areas, enables the use of synergies and the realisation of joint projects. The latest example is the Multivision project... The network deserves to be able to do its job also in the future with a solid organisational basis for being able to focus on continuity. |

"A large protected area in the Alps is much too small to maintain the Alpine biodiversity. It needs the cooperation on the conservation efforts, the ecological network and collaboration in research and in public relations. ALPARC brings together all the stakeholders to discuss various issues. Project partners have become friends and to work together with friends towards a common goal brings satisfaction and increases the effectiveness!" |

"For me, what's important is having contacts and exchanges with other managers of protected areas." "ALPARC also often sets up initiatives to take steps or implement projects that parks could never realise individually. The work and resources are shared. […] The shared projects can only be undertaken by a group of parks and mean we do not have to keep reinventing the wheel […]" |
