Guest book

In order to support Alparc in its process of evolution, present the value of this network and convince political policy-makers and new financial backers to support the protected Alpine areas, we are launching an appeal for testimonials!

Experiences, messages of support, arguments, memories, anecdotes… show what the Alpine Network of Protected Areas can provide for the staff of national parks and nature reserves in the Alps, especially with regard to their daily work.

We appeal to you:

Tell us of your experience with Alparc, and what the network (its meetings, its instruments and its publications…) have given you. There are two ways to do this:

  • Call one of the staff on the Alparc team on +33 (0)4 79 26 55 00 to leave a spoken account (in all languages* except Slovene)
  • Send your written account (in all languages*) by email to marie.stoeckel(at)alparc.org: a few words can be enough!

Thank you and enjoy reading! We hope that you like what you find.

We would like to thank all those who contributed. Because some of the comments were so detailed, we have only included excerpts here.

26/06/2012 - Germany Rolf Eberhardt, Manager of the Nature Park Nagelfluhkette e.V.

The Alpine Network of Protected Areas is especially for us as a very small organized nature park an excellent platform to exchange knowledge and experience in the Alpine protected areas. Although we have always difficulties to actively participate in the actions, we benefit greatly from the information exchange.

The network offers excellent participation opportunities that we use if possible, as currently the project ViViAlp. The project management of ALPARC is professional and effective, the jointly produced products are on a high level. I would like to thank the ALPARC team for their great support.

14/06/2012 - Switzerland Hans Lozza - Head of communication and public relations, Swiss national park

For the Swiss National Park, the Alpine Network of Protected Areas (ALPARC) is a very important partner at the international level. ALPARC eases the exchange between protected areas, enables the use of synergies and the realisation of joint projects. The latest example is the Multivision project...

The network deserves to be able to do its job also in the future with a solid organisational basis for being able to focus on continuity.

Alparc also provides a common visibility of the Alpine protected area network through the implementation of various communication media (as for example the ViViAlp and more recently the Multivision show) and as well with the implementation in practice as the ECONNECT Project (a project that addresses to the challenge of enhancing ecological connectivity between Alpine protected areas). It's already almost for 15 years, that Alparc proposes a network of protected areas that suggested the 'Trame verte et bleue” not on a national but on the international Alpine level.

15/05/2012 - France Marie HEURET - Project manager bearded vulture

In a program of reintroduction and conservation of a species that crosses borders such as the bearded vulture, Alparc used its network experience to bring together different Alpine actors, who work for the same purpose ... also if not always in the same direction.

[...] Alparc gave us some height and the possibility to look a little bit further ...

24/04/2012 - Italy Massimo Bocca, Director Parco naturale Montavic

Alparc is an opportunity, an open window to the outside, especially for a small protected area like us. We mostly just exist on a local scale.
