The working group "Joint Communication" of ALPARC met on the 4th and 5th of June 2009 in the Les Ecrins National Park (France). Since 2009 this working group has enlarged its theme to "Mountain Environment Education" and therefore has brought together communication as well as education project managers of different alpine protected areas (France, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland).

The group has continued its work on the ViViAlp and on common tools of communication, but has also launched a new project: the creation of a multivision show about alpine protected areas, on the basis of a successful example by the Les Ecrins National Park.

Referring to the field of education, the group had the opportunity to meet new colleagues and to discuss the work concerning the collection of innovative experiences in the alpine protected areas. The corresponding results are regularly updated at this link. Furthermore, the team took advantage of this get-together to work on the project of an upcoming first technical meeting of education project managers of alpine protected areas, which is planned as a side event of the General Assembly 2010 of ALPARC in Zernez, in the Swiss National Park, in the end of October 2010.
