Alain Brandeis was elected as Vice-President of ALPARC’s International Steering Committee (ISC) during the meeting on September 20th and 21st in Berchtesgaden / D and will take over the position of Philippe Traub , who retired this year .

Alain Brandeis, 55 years old and director of the National Park of Mercantour / F since January 2008, is an agricultural engineer and engineer in environmental planning and forest management. During his professional career, he worked in the field of rural development and nature protection in France and as well for a technical cooperation in Brazil and Africa.

His activity at the Mercantour Park was strongly devoted to the elaboration of the Charter of the Park and the cooperation with the Nature Park Alpi Marittime, which is becoming stronger with the ongoing development of the EGTC (European Grouping of territorial cooperation).
