It glides above our heads with its wingspan of nearly three meters, to alight then on a rock. The bearded vulture, the largest bird of prey in the Alps (or, it is said, even of Europe!), finally returns to fly in the alpine skies, thanks to the will and commitment of many people. In October 2011 comes out the film “Some bearded vultures and some men”, directed by Mathieu Le Lay, which leads us to the discovery of the great adventure of the bearded vulture’s reintroduction plan, an excellent outcome. Extraordinary and touching scenes, shot in the Austrian, French, Italian and Swiss Alps, tell the life of this bird of prey, its life in common in the mountain area with mankind, the problems of the rehabilitation of a fragile species in its natural environment, but most of all the cooperation and the efforts of mankind to preserve and protect this species.
