In August 2010 the publishing company Temi released the book “10 anni con le aquile reali e con qualche gipeto – 10 years with the golden eagles and a few bearded vultures” by Francesco Framarin, ex director of the National Park of Gran Paradiso .

The author describes, with an enjoyable narration, the behaviors of the golden eagle in the Alps. In particular, he describes its reproduction biology, its hunting dexterities and the processes that enabled and still permit the eagle to live steadily in the alpine region. The whole work is enriched by his field observations and reports written by other researchers and rangers of the National Park of Gran Paradiso.

This book enhances not only the knowledge on the biology of the species, but also aims to incite the interest and the enthusiasm for this wonderful rapacious bird.
