It's already 17 years that rangers of protected areas from the Alps meet up every year to commemorate the death of one of their colleagues, Danilo Re, who died in service. This event represents an opportunity to exchange, to meet, to consider partnership projects... or just to feel "united": together for the Alps!

Adamello Park and Valle Camonica will host the seventeenth edition of the Memorial dedicated to Danilo Re (a ranger from Cuneo, who deceased in 1995 while he was on a duty) from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th January 2012.

An important characteristic of the park is its transboundary vocation, which takes shape in the daily relationship with the Triglav National Park (Slovenia) but also, even if not so intense, with the National Park Nockberge (Austria).

On 22 December 2010, the Italian Council of Ministers approved a decree changing the administrative structure of the Stelvio Park . Managing the park is now the responsibility of the autonomous province of Trentino-Alto Adige and the Lombardy region.

The teams of both National Parks Gran Paradiso and Vanoise met on December the 2nd in Modane to prepare together their common work programme for 2010.

After nineteen years in service by the broad Park Paneveggio Pale di San Martino, Dr. Ettore Sartori retired.
