The international conference « Alpine Ecological Network: a response to climate change that will preserve biodiversity? » was held on 15th and 16th October 2009 in Berchtesgaden, Germany.
This event, organised by the Berchtesgaden National Park and the Alpine Network of Protected Areas, brought together 110 administrators of Alpine protected areas, international researchers, research institutes, academics etc.…

Phenoclim builds a collective scientific and educational observation network about climate change in the Alps.
In autumn 2004, the Research Center on Alpine Ecosystems (CREA) launched the program "Phenoclim" for schools, NGOs, individuals and protected areas of all the Alps.

In response to global warming, the Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria has decided to lead by example. Working together with political decision-makers, the Park's Mittersill visitor centre (Salzburg) is expanding its environmental education programme. The National Park Climate Change School project is designed to teach children and young people how to respect the natural world.
