For the 18th edition, the Alpine park rangers’ competition and thematic meeting were hosted by the Vanoise National Park in the charming family ski resort of Pralognan-la-Vanoise.

In the context of the ALPARC “Mountain Environmental Education” Working Group, Alpine Protected Areas (APA) Education project leaders met in Mallnitz in the Hohe Tauern National Park from 17th to 19th October 2012. This second international meeting was organised by ALPARC in partnership with the REEMA and the host park.
02/10/2012 - News from the network ALPARC Eighteenth Danilo Re Meet in the Vanoise National Park
From Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 January 2013, the Vanoise National Park will host the 18th Danilo Re Meet, named in memory of the park warden from Cuneo in Piedmont, Italy, who died in the course of his duties in 1995.
28/09/2012 - News from the network ALPARC Postcards: showcasing French protected areas
The collection of ALPARC postcards has been expanded this year and now covers nine regional natural parks from two Alpine regions in France: Rhone-Alpes and Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur. A third national park has also joined the Ecrins and Vanoise: the Mercantour National Park.

The multivision production "For the Alps" was premiered on 24 May 2012 and then presented at AlpWeek in September. It is an unique and original audiovisual work created by ALPARC and is now available free of charge for use by all protected areas in the network. It is ideal for using in visitor centres or at events.
