eco.mont - Journal of protected mountain areas research - aims to emphasize research and management issues in and on protected areas in the Alps without excluding other protected mountain areas in Europe or overseas.
Target audiences of the new journal are: scientists from all related disciplines, managers of protected areas and an interested public including practitioners, visitors, teachers, etc.
The journal was funded as an initiative of the International Scientific Committee on Research in the Alps (ISCAR), the Alpine Network of Protected Areas (ALPARC), the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) and the University of Innsbruck.
You are kindly invited to contribute to the third edition of the recent publication eco.mont.
The journal offers a platform specifically for scientists working in and on protected mountain areas. That’s why we would like to ask you to inform all scientists engaged in research or monitoring projects about the opportunity for submitting scientific papers in English.
The third issue will be dedicated to the theme of “biodiversity” in tune with 2010 as the year of biodiversity.
Within this general theme you are free to focus on individual aspects related to your research. The deadline for the articles to be included in the third edition is early December 2009. On the eco.mont website you will find general guidelines for contributors.
Please feel free to forward this call to all potential contributors. We are looking forward to your contribution!
