Les associations d'alpinisme et de protection de l'environnement d'Italie, de France et de Suisse, ont signé un "Appel pour le Mont-Blanc". Elles demandent une région modèle pour un développement durable selon les principes de la Convention alpine.

To mark World Environment Day on 5 June 2009, releases were made in two Alpine parks: one at Mallnitz in the Hohe Tauern National Park (Austria) and the other at Vignols in the Mercantour National Park (France), the latter attended by Prince Albert II of Monaco. |

"The draft was prepared at the Ministry of the environment in February 2008. By our opinion the draft does not contain the necessary elements to protect the area of Triglav according to standards of IUCN category II - so it the protected area cannot be declared national park by definition." IUCN

Logarska dolina is a valley on the north-eastern side of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. It is a typical alpine glacial valley offering great views and sheltering the waterfall Rinka at its end, one of the highest waterfalls in Slovenia. To protect the nature of Logarska dolina, the former municipality Mozirje proclaimed Logarska dolina landscape park in 1987 together with a neighbouring valley Robanov kot. |

Established in 2008, the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park brings together communities in the southern Allgäu and the Vorderer Bregenzerwald. It is the first nature park to span the border between Germany and Austria. |
