Adamello Park and Valle Camonica will host the seventeenth edition of the Memorial dedicated to Danilo Re (a ranger from Cuneo, who deceased in 1995 while he was on a duty) from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th January 2012.

The “Memorial Danilo Re” represents, since a couple of years, an important occasion for Alpine Protected Areas staff to meet. It comprises a sport competition (the veritable Trophy), a thematic conference and a convivial moment among participants, which symbolises the friendship, the efforts and aims which are common to all the communities hosting the Alpine Protected Areas. The Memorial isn’t only a sport event, but also represents a favourable oppotunity for an international advertisement of the alpine territory for both logistic/sportive aspects and those aspects more concerning tourism and hospitality.

The organisation of the 2012 edition is curated by Adamello Nature Parc in collaboration with ALPARC (the Network of Alpine Protected Areas) and different local individuals, in particular, Adamello Ski , who will manage the welcome and the hotel reservation for Memorial Danilo Re’s participants, the sport trials and the closing evening.

This year the thematic conference deals with the complex theme: “Paths of the Alps: signposting, maintenance and safety”.
