The Permanent Committee is the executive body of the Alpine Conference, which meets regularly between each Alpine Conference (usually twice a year). It consists of the delegates of the alpine countries.

The 41st meeting of the Permanent Committee of the Alpine Conference will take place from 28th-29th October 2009 in Brdo pri Kranju / Slovenia. On the agenda will be, among others, the following points:

  • Principal aspects of the programme of the Slovenian presidency
  • International partnerships in mountainous areas
  • Platform “Ecological Network” (report from the French presidency)
  • Action plan on the climate change in the Alps
