The first Alparc workshop on the topic "Environmental Education" will take place on 19th and 20th October 2010 in Zernez, in the Swiss National Park. This event figures as a special event that precedes the VII. General Assembly of Alparc in the same location.
It is co-organised with the REEMA (Alpine Network for Mountain Environmental Education), which already gathers the staff in charge of environmental education in the French Alpine protected areas.
Would you like to meet environmental education officers from other Alpine protected areas? Would you like to learn about the tools they use, their activities, their role within the park and their aims? Are common educational issues relating to mountain culture and the Alpine identity an important factor in your visitor education activities? In that case, you are warmly invited to take part in this meeting, which should also enable us to identify future cooperation opportunities.
Please find below the provisional programme, the registration form as well as a short questionnaire about your job as an education officer, to send us back until April the 10th to contribute to the workshop preparation.
NB: The General Assembly and Thematic Conference about Wilderness and Biodiversity will be held from 21st to 23th October 2010 also in Zernez. All interested environmental education project officers are very welcome to join this event to obtain a better understanding of activities on an alpine level and to profit from transboundary networking. More information in the up-coming weeks at this link.
