In 2008, in the frame of the 9th Conference of parties of the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD) in Bonn, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the CBD, the Alpine Convention and the Carpathian Convention. In order to fill the Memorandum with life and to reinforce the cooperation in the field of ecological connectivity between the two mountain ranges of the Alps and the Carpathians a 2 day exchange is proposed by the French presidency and the former German presidency of the Platform Ecological network of the Alpine Convention. |
