Biodiversity describes the diversity of life on our planet – including the genetic diversity as well as the variety of species and the diversity of ecosystems. Biodiversity is a key element for the live and survival of all humans. Choosing the topic biodiversity – and the perspective „our future“ the NATUR Congress wants to explore the crucial importance of biodiversity. The year 2010 has been declared international year of biodiversity with the aim to give account if the increasing loss of the past years could be stopped. As member of the Platform „Ecological network“ of the Alpine Convention and as project partner of the Continuum Initiative ALPARC will be present at the 5th NATUR CONGRESS in the frame of the Workshop „Connecting diversity – a alpine ecological network to savegard the biodiversity Hotspot Alps“ . |

Darstellung der Bedeutung weiträumiger ökologischer Netzwerke zur Erhaltung des Biodiversitäts-Hotspots Alpen in Zeiten des globalen Wandels und des Klimawandels anhand alpenweiter und regionaler Initiativen aus dem Grenzraum Deutschland/Österreich und der Schweiz.
Zielgruppe: EntscheidungsträgerInnen (Behörden, regionale und nationale Politik) und UmsetzerInnen (Planungsbüros, NGOs, Gemeinden, Pärke) in den Bereichen ökologische Netzwerke, Naturschutz, Raumplanung, Verkehr, Land- und Forstwirtschaft, Jagd und Fischerei, Fliessgewässermanagement.
