The CNM (Centre de la Nature Montagnarde) contributes to spread and to share the knowledge on mountain natural heritage. It presents all of these resources in a comprehensive way.It is involved in social debates and issues of sustainable mountain development. Each year, the CNM organises the "Rencontres Alpines". This time, the theme was "Discovering and protecting exceptionnal territories in mountains areas".

The event was announced upon posters but also in the local newspaper (Dauphiné libéré du 24 octobre ) the day the event was held.

The Alparc display was disposed in order to provide an introduction to ALPARC .

About 300 people were attending the event.
