The first meetings of the pilot regions took place during 2009 with already encouraging results concerning the definition of data needs, the importance linked to legal aspects and the choice of species within the ecological network.

Henceforward, two working groups are studying the method of coordination between the concerned regions, the determination of data and the strategy of communication and information. A list of indices, concerning for example the different types of pollution or economical activities, has been established as well as a methodology for their evaluation.

Econnect continues its activities with the organisation of its second General Assembly in Berchtesgaden / Germany in October 2009 and the realisation of an international workshop in Grenoble / France at the beginning of November 2009. More informations here.
