|
Only in Austria, the ecological footprint is nearly three times higher as it should be in the global comparison. Therefore the National Park Gesäuse will open its new visitor attraction, the “walkable” ecological footprint, in the nature experience centre Weidendom the 7th of July 2012 at 10 am.
The “walkable” footprint – the ecological footprint presents the area which is necessary to satisfy the needs like food, housing, mobility and consumption – is created in form of a labyrinth and invites you to explore the exhibition and to discover your own ecological footprint. The aim of this permanent exhibition is to learn what the ecological footprint means and how we can reduce it.
